This morning l was taken to the vets, with no breakfast which l think is against my dog rights. I will look into that.
I had a nice sleep but l think theres something missing now.
Mum picked me up this afternoon and l hot to eat a while cooked chicken all to myself. The vet did say ' a little ' food to Mum but apparently l am so greedy. I haven't eaten since last night though.
I also have to wear this silly cone on my head. I did manage to get it off after 10 minutes at home and run round the garden with it, that was fun. Now its attached to my collar though so l don't think l can get it off anymore.
I also managed to steal Mums dishcloth. Mum says l'll be back to normal in no time.
I need to condense down the past few weeks.so.that l can start blogging about the 'now'.
It took time for me to settle into my new family. There were lots of ' teething problems ' ha.
Mum was frustrated and even in tears occasionally, constantly wondering why she thought l was a good idea.
Especially the day she caught me on her sideboard eating her 40th birthday flowers, they had to be put in a room that nobody uses after that. Abit of a waste l thought.
I chewed alot, yes ALOT. On anything. Furniture, clothing, hands, whatever was nearest. Don't be fooled by my cute fluffy face, l also have a nasty face where my nose crinkles up and l bare my teeth, usually seen just before l lunge and bite. Mum was worried that l could be ' a nasty piece of work ' and even now she won't leave me in the room with Girl17 and Boy8 without being able to hear us.
I have got better though. The lungeing and biting l have been told is unacceptable so l am trying hard not to do it. When l forget and do it now Mum puts me straight in my room for a few minutes to calm down. Mum says l'm a nice calm boy when she lets me back out -------- she calls it ' time out '.
I must take after my Mum and be crafty without knowing it. Mum does lots of crafty things, knitting, spinning, crochet, weaving, sewing OR she did do before l came along ha,ha. Its not really fair but Mum has moved everything out of my way. All l did was take some fibre from the spinning wheel, apparently merino and silk is expensive and doesn't spin well with dog spit on it. Oh and l also take the knitting and crochet if its left in reach, the wool is all nice and squishy in my mouth.
When l first came there were lots of nice things but Mum has now put them all in cupboards -------- l wonder why?
I have the last 9 weeks to fill in before l can start telling you my day to day life.
As l said Mum and Dad thought l was a cute fluffy puppy when they picked me up.
Little did they know that l was also a monster in a fur coat with little shark teeth.
Those first few weeks were very frustrating for my new Mum. I know she wondered alot more than once if l was a good idea.
I don't mean to be naughty but sometimes things just need to be chewed. I am teething aswell you know.
Mum is thankful that l haven't eaten into the leather suite. (yet).
I have put teethmarks into the bottom of the nice coffee table, the fireplace and the kitchen chairs. The furniture is quite rustic so l think l've added a nice touch.
I also ripped a piece of skirting board off in my room. It looks better that way and l ripped up the front door mat too.
I did chew Mums rug for a while too ( she's taken.it away now as l weed on it ).
Mum got quite clever and tried lots of different things, l liked most of them until she tried tobasco sauce and made a spray with water.
Thats horrible, it burns my mouth and l stop chewing things she's sprayed with it. I also have to bark at it once its been sprayed, just to show it who's boss.
Mum has been putting my baby teeth in a box to keep as l lose them and l am now getting my big boy teeth.
Once they come through they don't hurt as much so l don't feel the need to chew all the time.
Mum sometimes gives me an ice cube to chew when l get abit 'chewy', apparently it numbs my gums so my teeth don't hurt.
I did get lots of chew toys bought but the furniture is much better.
Its funny, outside l am allowed to chew wood but inside l get shouted at.
